Basic information

Magnetic float level sensor - plastic SF122 is a very simple way to detect a high or too low level.

Principle of float level sensor

The float consists of a rod (permanent magnet inside) connected to the sensor. As the liquid level rises or falls, the strength of the magnetic field required to close the contact changes. The contact is connected directly to the sensor wires and switches on / off the electrical circuit to which it is connected. The sensor does not require any supply voltage, so it is voltage-free.

  • float level sensor
  • switching positions: horizontal
  • Function principle: magnetic contact
  • maximum operating pressure: 0.3 MPa
  • maximum temperature of the measured liquid: from -20 ° C to + 125 ° C
  • ambient temperature: from -40 ° C to 80 ° C
  • minimum density of the measured medium: 0.7g / cm3
  • degree of protection: IP 65
  • explosion-proof design
  • connection: external thread 1/2 NPT
  • material: polypropylene
  • closed with float in the axis (max. angle 5 °)
  • switched off when deviating from the axis (max. angle 75 °)
  • sensor connection: two-core cable (length 0.35 m)
