O-ring Gasket FKM
Press Fittings Stainless Steel – Type M, DIN 1.4301 (AISI304)
Stainless Seel DIN 1.4301 (AISI304), Material Wall Thickness 1,5 mm; FKM O-ring
In case of O-ring replacement, use of piping of another dimension or mechanically damaged we cannot guarantee the quality of the pressed joint.
The design of the
pressed joint is simple, in practice very fast and above all it is a reliable
method of connecting pipes that can be used even at high temperatures and up to
a maximum pressure of 16 bar. There is essentially no
risk that the joint will be of poor quality if the prescribed compression
procedure is followed.
Characteristic of Press Fittings:
- easy and quick instalation
- for dimensions 15 – 54 mm
- in the assortment all kinds of fittings, including threaded adapters and reducers
- Thanks to the FKM O-ring used, press fittings can be used up to 200 ° C (FKM O-ring is supplied with each fitting as standard)
- use up to max. pressure 16bar
- standard pressing profile – marked M; For the given profile it is possible to buy together pressing tools for dimensions 15 – 54 mm from our company
Fields of application:
- distribution of drinking, service and rain water
- waste water installations
- heating distribution
- cooling water, glycol cooling circuits
- steam and condensate return pipes
- water distribution systems for extinguishing
- fittings cannot be used on gas (natural / PB)
O-ring FKM Material Characteristic:
FKM (FPM,
Viton®, Fluorel®) is often used for its resistance to extreme temperatures and
aggressive chemicals. The strong carbon-fluorine bonds
that make up the polymer structure have high thermo-chemical resistance and
other excellent properties, such as low compression set at elevated
temperatures.
FKM offers
excellent resistance to mineral oils and fats, aliphatic, aromatic and some
chlorinated hydrocarbons, fuels, silicone oils and fats. However, FKM exhibits poor resistance to ethers, ketones, esters and
amines.
- Temperature Range: –20 to +200°C , temporarily +300°C
- has significantly lower mechanical properties in hot water and steam (medium mechanical strength, low gas permeability)
- FKM O-ring is resistant to: temperatures, ozone, weather, aging, acids, mineral, animal and silicone oils and fats, synthetic hydraulic fluids, HFD pressurized fluids, fuels, aromatic hydrocarbons (benzol, toluene), high vacuum, organic solvents and other chemicals
- not resistant to: polar solvents (acetone, etc.), glycol-based brake fluids, superheated steam, ammonia gas, amine alkali, low molecular weight organic acids (formic, acetic)
