Description of the diaphragm valve:

Closing of the valve is ensured by means of pins which presses on the diaphragm. The valves are soft sealing and allow a perfect closing even if the flow of media contains some solids.

Technical characteristics of diaphragm valves:

  • Standard: DIN
  • Operational pressure : see. individual valves characteristics
  • Type: welded, clamped connection
  • Material: Stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L), 1.4301 (AISI 304), see. individual valves characteristics
  • Maximum operating temperature: according to the material of diaphragm 
  • Sterilization temperature (max. 20 min): temperature is given by diaphragm material (150 °C VMQ, 110 °C EPDM)
  • Material of diaphragm: EPDM, VMQ (silicone)
  • Operation of valves: manual or via pneumatic actuator (air pressure 5–8 bar)
